How long does it take to be compensated? I know some people with land at Tuala and they were offered 10M per acre(heresay) though they were asking for 30M. We should strive to create a homogenous society but not to strenghthen what already divides us. Kiswahili should be the first language of most people by the year 2040. Tribal stations, Tribal Football teams, Tribal political parties have no place in modern society. A heretogenous society will not reap big from infrastructural development.

Have you been living in space? We now have radio TV YouTube podcasts catering to the various demographic societies living under the sun. Am sure there are several Kiswahili stations, so what is your problem again? "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. Why are Africans ashamed of their languages and culture? Especially in a world that is promoting multiculturalism and diversity? What if the Englishman was ashamed of his native language, aka mothertongue, English and instead used kikuyu to communicate to his people? No language is superior to any other in the world. Why should a joluo struggle to communicate to his people in English or kiswahili, a foreign language, while he can use the language of his people dholuo? We must do away with this inferiority complex. We are all equal. Proud citizens of this world.

The reason I ask is coz the chinese have already erected 2 electricity poles, and are doing blasting on a small portion of that shamba.

Our languages need not divide us. They could be used as a tool for division, but we shouldn't do away with them But, negative ethnicity and ethnic pride is not just reinforced by language. In Rwanda, the Hutu and Tutsi speak Kinyarwanda. 1 Language. That did not stop the genocide. People will still stick to their tribes even if we have 1 language
