@aluta, WH issues have been overplayed. S&P500 has tested the gap April 24th gap up (Macron election) and rebounded. E$ bulls have pushed things to the extreme and almost punched the day's ATR. Gold bulls as well have been on a romp. Extremes for the day across board on matters US stocks and USD. The overbought reads across many times frames do not inspire further bullish push. Correction is imminent.

Nasty stop hunt run to take out 1.29 stops. If so, then GBP$ should finish the week above 1.30 handle.

Caution with this one. Strong weakness on 4hr chart which means it can easily fall to 1.3490.

Still holding short here with 1.3530 and 1.3410 as targets as i had mentioned earlier. My reasoning is with crude buyers stepping in yesterday it could crack $50 add to that further USD weakness the levels could be reached however, Canadian CPI and Retail Sales data will be on the wires shortly could prove the deciding factor to break through the current low...

1.3530 target hit smile

Monday being a public holiday in Canada I expect thin liquidity as well as consolidation in the pair or a short squeeze up to 1.3550 before the next leg down to that 1.3410 level...depending on crude maintaining the $50 level.

Keenly watching Yen pairs (esp. $Yen) as BOJ looks to be back to their intervention strategies to weaken the currency...outflows from safe haven flows we saw last week due to the drop in USD and Wednesday's 2% stock dip look to be at play as well.

Thread has gone silent again Sad

NFP comes in at 138k vs. 184k expected as well as downward revisions of previous month payroll numbers by 66k.

Wondering whether the FED will hike this month following the latest numbers (91% priced in even after todays NFP numbers)...bonds look to finally be reacting and the trump reflation trade (USD Longs) are headed towards the election day lows.

The Fed will keep hiking until things fall apart again!

For now watching Gold. 1350 level is where the showdown begins between the bears and the bulls!

My focus is now on matters GBP and the looming election. Opportunities abound. GBP has a bearish hint. Good news will launch the GBP bulls which will present a nice shorting opportunity above 1.30

GBP$ failed to spike above 1.30 for a sizable short as anticipated. Breaking below 1.2750 means 1.25 will be a likely target. if it fails to hold then 1.20 is the next focus.

Italy and Greece will ensure summer is quite busy for matters euro. Stay focussed. Things will get volatile in fall...

Short XAU at market @1266.22, lot size 2.0 (two positions) This is a medium term play for 3 weeks at least. Objective is open for now. The weekly chart is bearish suggesting that the support at 1200 handle will collapse! If this plays out then Dow will likely top 21500 and a bigger fall will push Dow towards 22000.

The weekly chart is hinting a bearish move soon. I'm still holding for I expect 1200 handle to breakdown.
