Do you have a link to support this?
What could be the meaning of that statement?..does it mean the tax rate is going up, or is it that the tax bands will be expanded.Because one is good while the other is bad.So which is which?

It's tax bands to ease tax burden

If taxes were increased it would have been on front page of all dailies

No govt would dare do that 3 months to polls

Kenya borrowed $1 billion via a syndicated loan from commercial banks, $200 million more than anticipated, Thomson Reuters publication IFR reported on Friday.

The East African nation said in March it was raising a total of $1.55 billion in syndicated loans, with $800 million coming from commercial banks and the rest from development finance banks.

The $1 billion loan was split into a two-year tranche and a three-year tranche, IFR cited bankers as saying. The loan was arranged by Citigroup, Rand Merchant Bank, Standard Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.

That Commission had better receive its working budget fire-walled by the Constitution.

Otherwise, the second agenda, after appointment of the Respective Speakers, will be its disbanding and or damaging budget fund cuts.

The final take home figure for each of those cadres shall be no less than 25% higher by the time the new team is done with the Commission.

I hope I am wrong, but then this is Kenia.

Though the move is wise, its not the best. The economy is about quality. It cannot be fixed by slashing salaries of state officials. They are not the problem.KRA must be probed for not attaining its targets YOY.Then let the country reduce its dependence on debts.

SRC...good move. But as usual Mpigs first agenda of the next parliament will be to deal with SRC.

The law of 'no sitting and mileage allowances' together with caps on 'Daily Subsistence Allowances and out of town/country trips' should be extended through out government. Then we can see the real effect.
