Fake: Opinion polls 2017

The credibility of opinion polls is being questioned following a decisive win by Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu over Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, against pollsters’ predictions. The two were competing for the gubernatorial seat during the Jubilee party nominations in Kiambu County on Tuesday. The MP garnered 353,604 votes against the incumbent’s 69,916. The result comes barely three weeks after an opinion poll by Infotrack showed Mr Kabogo would get 48.9% of the votes against Mr Waititu’s 31.8%, if elections were to be held on April 7. Pollsters-on-the-spot BBI will solve it :)

A day in politics is like a lifetime. Kiambu people know all the dirt on Kabogos' past negative utterances especially against women were dug, nicely compiled and widely circulated on media platforms just two days before the first nomination day. Lesson: Always watch your words and arrogance does not pay.

He started loosing Kitambo but the last days "cucu" media information made even the undecided decide hence the unbelievable margins.

Towards the nominations, Kabogo had regained imensely, almost sealing his re-election when he exposed Gakuyo as a fraudster (Gakuyo is not a fraudster). 2 days to nominations, the mother of all bombshells was unleashed.....the Nyondo cia Ngui collection of expletives meted by Kabogo in the past. Gakuyo himself went to Kameme and reiterated the Nyondo cia Ngui story among other terrible utterances by Kabogo. MAny women in the rural areas are always on Kameme/inooro, thile the townfolk are on social media. Boom! That is the Day Kabogo's fate was sealed. TULIA.........UFUNZWE!

Infotrak said "On the race for Senator, 35.4 per cent of those polled said they prefer voting for Kembi Gitura followed by Irungu Kang’ata at 23.1 per cent." The greatest act of bravery is chancing a fart while suffering from diarrhoea

@simonkabz is alive? Daaamn!! Ukabila everywhere even opinions are tribal. I keep wondering why anybody needs opinion polls for the whole of Kenya while all you need is to know the number of voters per tribe. Opinion polls should be in the swing-tribes only ie Kisiis, Luhyas, Warias, Kamba and some parts of Coast. BBI will solve it :)

Tifa research, the outfit founded by Maggie Ireri who used to be at Ipsos, has released its opinion poll results for nairobi county.
According to them, NASA has 58% and Jubilee 36% support in Nairobi. That's a whole load of bullcrap. 51/49 is more like it.
Esther passaris will take women rep with a landslide. Fairly reasonable.
About 30% of voters are undecided on the senator race between edwin sifuna and johnson koskei. So far koskei has a marginal lead. - Fairly reasonable
Kidero and Sonko are in a neck-to-neck race at 45/44. PK is trailing at 4%.
NASA will take around 13 seats against jubilee's 4. Again lot of bull crap. 10/7 is more like it.
Finally, and this tells you why its a fake poll, they say NASA commands 70% support in Dagoreti south. This is a jubilee stronghold with >60%. All MCAs and MP were elected on TNA tickets. We are talking waithaka, mutuini, riruta and such areas.
I don't think these guys ever step out of their air-conditioned offices to conduct opinion polls. They simply cook the figures.
