We thank wazuan's for the continued support and since we listen to our clients needs, we now introduce a new mobile motor vehicle diagnostics service as requested by some of our clients who do not have the time to come to our place of operation. We charge a minimal fee for bringing our service to you depending on your location within Nairobi. Kindly send us an email on autoscananddiag@gmail.com explaining the problem with the car and your location and we shall give you a quotation for the service. We are able to deal with all cars with the OBD(on board diagnostcs) i.e cars manfatured after 1994. We also deal with all Japanese, Chinise, Australian, USA and European Cars. can look at our advert under Market/classifieds

I am looking for an Oxygen sensor for a RAV4 2002. Tried Toyota And Alfa Motors but they don't have it. Does anyone know where I can get it?

@Ondiek. Yes we can get you the sensor if you come to our garage. They are available in the market. we need to establish how many sensors your car has and if more than one then which one is not functioning well!

Freelanders have a major water pump problem. I know of someone who has changed the engine block twice before they realized what was happening.

The nissan wingroad is stable car and if you get the aero version its a real beauty.Same engine used by nissan B15,very reliable and as powerful as toyota fielder at about 108HP.It's cheaper than a comparable, overpriced toyota model but with similar features

I agree wingroad like most of the nissans have very good engines. the one area its weak on is the suspension system with our roads it gets knocked off abit faster.

@jamplu-upgrading the suspension with quality aftermarket parts results in a much robust suspension, but still the stock suspension will give you proper service unless the car is mistreated on bad roads, still our road quality has improved much.
I have had my b15 since 2007 and its only now that i want to change control arm bushes

UNDERSTANDING YOUR SENSORS
When a sensor voltage falls out of specifications, the computer will illuminate a "CHECK ENGINE, SERVICE ENGINE SOON, OR MAINTAINANCE REQUIRED" light on the dash i.e the Malfunction Indicator Light(MIL). If this light is on in you car, it means the computer has received a bad reading from one of the sensors.

OXYGEN SENSOR: This measures the exhaust oxygen content. The computer fine tunes the mixture using data from this sensor.
FAILURE SYMPTOMS: Poor fuel economy, driveability, light on dash.

THE HEGO SENSOR (Heated Oxygen Sensor): This is just an Oxygen sensor, except it's HEATED! Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen sensor. It is electrically heated so it works immediately on engine startup: the other type must be heated by the exhaust before it starts to work. Computers using these place a lot more emphasis on the data from the Oxygen sensor, and use this data sooner while the engine is still cold.

It is recomended to change this sensor on clocking 50,000 miles whether the MIL is on or not.
