The disorganisation is shocking considering how tuju has been talking tough.

In uasin gichu, Nandi and Bomet, the aspirants and county returning officers were in agreement to postpone. Tuju ameruka. Ballot papers yet to arrive

We have to admit as Kenyans we have serious integrity issues

When parties allow people of questionable character to stand in their names, what should you expect? The voter shall understand the hypnotic messages being sent out. It's ok to be corrupt since the guy at the top is corrupt too.

This all leads to what we are witnessing today. And Monday too in Kisumu. Have no doubt, Monday will be a day to remember in both Jubilee and ODM. That is just a fact.

These parties are led by corrupt individuals. How you expect free flowing elections is beyond my thinking capabilities.

The deadline from IEBC is looming.

Who wants to wager that this chaos is not choreographed to allow preferred candidates? Executed to the bewilderment of voters who seriously think that when you go line up for a thief, you will get justice.

I have passed near two polling stations in Thika area (Kuraiha and Kisiwa primary) and people are walking away having not cast their ballots. I gather that voting started at 1 pm. The waiting lines are out of this world. I have a feeling the party did not factor in such a heavy turnout given past nomination events have been low key. The word on the ground is that this is the real election given the fact that whoever gets nominated today is as good as unopposed (People will just come back for Presidential ballot come August).

Very interesting observation. I had not considered that. Meaning that these primaries are more important for Jubilee than they can imagine.

The issue of people coming back for the general may be redundant if the losers think they were shortchanged.

Having semi election like Kiambu. Where some polling stations will be complete today and others postponed will bring up Tharaka Nithi issues.

I wonder if the secretariate had thought about the implications. I wouldn't like to be in their shoes right now. It's so easy to hand over elections to others. Especially in the rift. Even the bloggers who turned political are not a happy lot in the rift.

Someone goofed big time.

Probably gave the tenders to their sister or something . As per Jubilee tender giving standards.

Update; Poll station known as Kisiwa (Thika) closed at 6;49pm. The AP's guarding the school allegedly claimed their duty is done. They are widely believed to have been on the payroll of one KaBuffallo. The people are disappointed and I am waiting for the fall out. An independent might as well have it! Thousands did not vote. I am not making up figures. People were in thousands. Jubilee mandarins should note that this nomination was more important to Thika people than the August election.

The turnout was massive! I think more Kenyans have decided to vote in the nominations more than ever before

Lesson for Jubilee and others; in primaries assume full turnout

ODM staggering method seems so well thought out now

Me thinks with the intense competition, even aspirants brewed the chaos partly. Just heard one voter claim they nabbed 20000 marked votes in Kajiado which is absurd, as no one counted them to confirm.

All in all, parties have no capacity to organize for primaries. This is the real election and IEBC should be tasked by law to run them. Otherwise these shams are a disgrace to our motherland.
