Why would the government pay KES 6 Billion to buy a building in an area where the rent is KES 140 Million? d'oh!

At a rate of KES 140 Million annually they can pay rent for 43 years.

Makes a lot of sense to me. Unfortunately, not economic sense.

Lets put our googles aside and consider this points.
1.rent isnot constant. The perceived annual rent of 140 m against the value of 6b might only last for 15 years and a coutry should be able to plan past 50 years.
2. A permanent residence means a place we can make changes as we wish.
3.this is also an investment for our country
4.
Politics is just things to keep the people divided and foolish and put your trust in men and none of them can do nothing for you...

Why would someone buy a house in Runda at 130m, an area where at an annual rent rate of 3m (250k pm) they can pay rent for 43yrs? Is this sensible? Does this also only make sense to sycophants?

The owner of this KES 130 Million house doesn't have basic problems like a broken healthcare system or their family dying of hunger unlike the GoK; so it maybe sensible for them.
