How has Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Kenya, Tanzania bowed to US!

Being a responsible and an engaging nation is not equivalent to bowing to anybody.
Iran’s reckless behaviour is not helpful to anybody, not even themselves.

See how that attitude has shrunk their economy and limited services to their citizens. They couldn’t even buy planes to replace ageing and out of service fleet!

Imagine where they would be as a people had they not lost those years enveloped in a squeeze.

Their behaviour caused them debilitating sanctions that pressed them so hard that they were compelled to swallow their pride – agreeing to most intrusive inspection into their affairs on home soil! That’s a humble pie right there – self inflicted!

What honour do you derive in having strangers squeeze you into letting them into your house to ransack your kitchen, bedrooms flip through your wardrobes, turn over your beddings to check what you are hiding there!

Why bring yourself such humiliation, while pretending to be ‘tough’!

Foolhardy.

Then the supreme ‘sic’ leader continues on the slippery slope;

Why did you forget to mention the humiliation Rüssïä put through the bülly?

Rüssïä does not bow down their knees to them...

Neither does Chïnä bow down to them...

The bülly's däys are numbered...

@Nandwa, your god-father, your idol, one of the greatest öppressör history has seen, will not rüle forever.

Loo lo!

Sasa bile ni ya nini - god-father, idol blah blah blahd'oh!
Why personalise issues for goodness sake!

The issue was if the Shia Patron nation is serving itself well by playing the unreasonable and objectionable hardball it has been playing - Calling Israel tumour and the usual cries of death to America.
Why dont we stick to that for now. If you will, we can also talk about those other countries in a seperate discussion. But I can tell you none of them is as reckless and intrasigent as Iran.

Quite baffling why any of us should be getting touchy over distant jurisdictions - US or Iran.

Sunnis consolidating their base?
Quote:
Ultra-conservative Saudi Arabia has donated massive funds to Indonesia including to teach Arabic language in schools and universities.
It wants to open more schools in Indonesia and increase scholarships.
Moderates in Indonesia are concerned an Arabic reading of the Koran is leading to a more conservative approach towards Islam.

Mr Alshuaibi said the two nations were working together in the fight against Islamic State terrorists.

@nandwa, is Malaysia, Brunei, Japan, China, and Maldives also sunnis to be consolidated? Or Indonesia is juicy narrative from LAZY, SIMPLISTIC, CLICHED mind meant to mislead many who just peruse from "headline"...

King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud is in Jakarta from Wednesday as part of a month-long Asia tour that includes Malaysia, Brunei, Japan, China and the Maldives.

I clarified it to you here...

One can choose to deny all they want, but the reality is – Sunni and Shia divide is real, deep and fierce. Led by Saudi Arabia for Sunni and Iran for Shia, each side is forever strategising to outmanoeuvre the other.

Left to their own devices they would obliterate each other.

The sorry state of affairs in Syria has undertones of Shia, Sunni divide. There are people who think that the divide might even be the main problem.
Quote:
"Progress in the Geneva round must not be held hostage by the Riyadh platform," lead Syrian negotiator Bashar al-Jaafari told reporters, referring to the Saudi-backed HNC.

Speaking after confirming that Syrian forces had "liberated" the historic city of Palmyra from the Islamic State group, he said the opposition "will be responsible for any failure of the Geneva talks".

Iran - read Shiite - losing ground in shifting geopolitics
Quote:
The geopolitics of the Middle East are moving too fast for any measured assessment of durable trends. Strange bedfellows and spurned alliances are commonplace. Just recall the awkward and so far unproductive cooperation between Turkey and Russia over Syria, or the tripartite meeting in southern Turkey of American, Russian and Turkish generals to deconflict operations targeting the so-called Islamic State in Syria. Another case in point is how the major Arab states maintain an old discourse about Israel at the United Nations, while quietly expanding security cooperation with Israel. Yet in each of these examples, Iran can be seen as losing ground, unable to either set or block the agenda as its regional peers and rivals work to protect their core interests and manage relations with the U.S. and Russia.
Starting with Russia, Iran is right to be worried that its partnership with Moscow has moved from an alliance of convenience to an even less steady state.

Lately, Shiite-Iran has been leaning towards Russia. Then this!
Quote:
An Iranian government official claimed earlier this week that its Russian-made air defenses were compromised by Moscow, leaving Iran and its allies defenseless against Israeli airstrikes. An engineer with Tehran's Ministry of Defense alleged that codes forcing anti-aircraft missiles to treat hostile Israeli fighters as friendly were sold to Tel Aviv, effectively neutralizing Syria and Iran's S-300 surface-to-air missile systems.

Iran Supreme Leader talks of "Certain Downfall" for Saudi Arabia Leadership!
Quote:
While speaking to the so-called Quranic group, Khamenei chided the Saudi leadership for its close ties with the US and the recently approved arms deal. Describing the Saudi monarch as "idiots", Khamenei said Riyadh acts like the "milk cows for the Americans".

"Today the Muslim world, like all other societies, is in grave danger. Among the Muslim world, a group of worthless, inept and villainous people are ruling over a community of the Muslim nation, namely the Saudi government; and, reason lies in refusal to follow Quran and lack of belief in the truth," Khamenei said.

Quote:
Their relations are strained over a series of religio-political issues such as the way Islam is interpreted, the Islamic world's leadership and oil exports

Saudi funding extremism in UK: study
Quote:
London (AFP) - Foreign funding for Islamist extremism in Britain mostly originates from Saudi Arabia, a think-tank report said on Wednesday in claims that were branded as "categorically false" by the Saudi embassy.
"While entities from across the Gulf and Iran have been guilty of advancing extremism, those in Saudi Arabia are undoubtedly at the top of the list," Tom Wilson, a fellow at the Henry Jackson Society, said in a statement.
