That is correct. Once people get a taste of life under Sharia law, they reject it.

Somalis especially hated Al Shabaab's version of Sharia law which included:
1. Banning watching of football
2. Banning the internet
3. No chewing miraa
4. No cigarettes
5. No education for girls
6. Stoning to death women accused of adultery
7. Amputating the hands of accused thieves

Guru what are your thoughts on #5?

Not only are girls forbidden from studying. But in extreme cases such as the Taliban, girls who dare to go to school will have acid thrown in their faces.

No. 5 and the rest seem like Western propaganda

Hypocrite !!!

@liv, let's leave side shows aside, this is national security matters. Among the dead, there were several Muslims. 2 of them I knew their families. So bro, I'm affected directly by this. Sad

Why would KDF be galavanting in Somalia instead of protecting the homeland's border?

In other news Boko Haram is using, 10yr old girls as suicide bombers. Have they ran out of adult bombers of course not. it's easier to convince 10yr old you see. with candies and sweet words. we live in a sick world. we shall fight terrorism for a long long time.

Those pictures are misleading. A brief tactical retreat is a strategy used to trap and hammer the enemy. They (terrorists) thought they had won before hell fire suddenly rained on them and camp was retaken.

Lol.. You would say anything to defend KDF!

I told you the videos would tell the real story of events. By time Kenya Air Force arrived there was not much to bomb.

My thinking is that KDF needs to style up.. You cannot be hit twice in the same way. Its like there was no one even patrolling the base.

The mere fact that KDF managed to evacuate the injured soldiers from the camp on the same day means that KDF were in full control and had secured the area....after finishing off the enemy.

The cowardice strategy of KDF only relying on air back up to solve their issues is already well known to the other side.

These guys overran the base, quickly gathered what they needed and most had already left before KAF started dropping bombs.

Asked about the contradicting reports that the camp was overrun, the major burst out in laughter.

“I was at the camp until the last minute. If it was overrun I would not be here right now talking to you. I would be somewhere dead.

You either believe shabaab's/baba's account or from the horse's mouth. It's a shame someone who wants to be president is their mouth piece.

I like the way they have embraced the use of surveillance drones and hitting their targets.
If they had 'hell fire' from the US, they would have finished those Alshabaab when they were still 2KM away.

All in all this is an improvement from Elade, we are getting somewhere. My guess is that next time the air support will be faster to deal with those bomb vehicles at a better distance than was in this case. You read the account of the Officer and you are in tears. Big up boys...... hakuna wamama huko for equality purposes smile

I want to believe that is why Kenya is going for this birds. They would have taken the VBEIDs quite easily and early enough. Anyway, lemme digress for i know nothing militarysmile. As for akina mama, wakae nyumbani!. Watapeleka nyege huko and then our mboys will be caught on the "hill"smile
