MP Mwiti has proposed to have beer companies compensate consumers of their products in case the latter are involved in accidents, domestic violence, are late for work, etc.

I don't know the full content of the proposed bill but the shared extracts are outrageous and the timing seems like a way of extorting beer companies campaign money.

In case someone dies because of drunkenness how will it be ascertained that the victim was not imbibing muratina, changa'a, busaa, etc besides normal beer/wine.

Personal Opinion: The world should stop manufacturing and consumption of alcoholic products unless for specific medical use.
