Adama Barrow's eight-year-old son was killed by a dog on January 16th, 3 days before his dad was to be sworn in.
I have a feeling this will negatively impact the new president's capability in his new post, similar to how the accident "changed" our own Mwai Kibaki.
I'm thinking of it like this: if I were Adama and my son was still alive, I'd want to make a better Gambia for him and his age-mates. But now that he's dead, what's the bloody point? Would he have died if I hadn't left him in The Gambia when I went to Senegal? Would he still be alive if Yahya had peacefully handed power over to me? Why do I smell a rat in his death? Did Jammeh kill him to get to me...? What is the reason for living?
...
Those are my thoughts. What are yours?
