All said and done, I hope this SGR project turns out to be as successful as the Thika road and bypass projects.
Our complains about the SGR project mirror those shared some years back about the construction of Thika road but when it was complete and in use, Kibaki turned from a corrupt crook to a hero. Ndii as usual led the complains informing us how a railway from Thika at a quarter of the price would have served even better. Anyway, I will hope for the best since this project cannot be reversed. Again, I hope you managed to acquire some speculation land around the stations cheaply too.

The track was elevated to prevent wild animals from trespassing on the tracks...Elephants are however domestic animals.

I asked in this thread months ago why the track was elevated all the way from Mombasa to Nairobi but neanderthals could here non of it.
Chief neanderthal aka @Njunge and her deputy @washiku said it was elevated to enable the train manage the gradient smoothly...wah!

I said it it was elevated to prevent wild animals then it was a failure, I even put pictures of some Zebras crossing the completed sections of the line.

To me the line should have been fenced off with concrete barrier if at all they wanted to prevent wild animals and walevi.
