MY SIX YEARS EXPERIENCE IN HONG KONG MARKET.
Our greatest Glory is not in never falliong but rising evey time we fallQuite unlike you reading this article, I had no guidance I just dived into the market with neither focus nor strategy.
1st Disaster 2005 - 2006We opened a joint account first with Taifook and later with KGI in early 2005.
As true black Africans our first pick was penny stocks. We swooped on a large voulumes starting with the minimum HNK$10,000 and within four months we made 60% gain.
We used the gain buy some units of another penny stock.
That was the begining of the disaster, the stock went virtually valueless.
We did not recover from there.
Second Attempt 2006 - 2008 We funded our accounts back with the minimum. Became wiser as we realised it is better to have
a few units of something than a large units of nothing.
This time we positioned on China biggest bank by market cap ICBC (ode 1398) at HNK$3.95 it rose to 5.57 in 2008 but unfortunately the rise was erased by world economic melt down in late 2008.
It went as low as HNK 2.98 .
We waited and sold iot in Feb 2009 at 3.90.
Back To Business (3rd Attempt) 2009 to date.I did lots of reading and research on oil and gold stocks and we took a bold decision that hencefortth in Hong kong market we will focus on Gold and Oil.
The good news is that since june 2009 we have grown our HNK portfolio by 60% by positioning at intervals to buy and sale gold and oil stocks based on research and on stocks that responds positively to Oil & Gold prices in the spot market. So far the accuracy is 99.999%
So for now till 2015/16 I am in Hong Kong market for Oil & Gold counter.
Investors lounge articles by Mzee KK is a good source of info on the most likely direction of oil and Gold prices, but you must also understand the violatility and the underlying reasons. as it is not always upwards rising or downward sloping.
