You are qualifying your comment by arguing for a none existent option for now. I bet if the opposition fronted any other candidate, they would find a reason to reject him/her.

One here, even though i might be the only existing onesmile . Meanwhile, i think Uhuru needs to get himself a life size mirror and have it in a private room where he can go look at himself at least 3 times a day!. Each time he looks at himself, he should say the following words,"If i am going to lose the 2017 elections, which i am going to lose anyway, i will blame it on the DP and corruption".

Uhuru will lose because of socio-economics. He should blame CS Treasury for running ambitious budget deficits, CBK governor for tightening liquidity in 2015 and Jude Njomo for killing credit to SMEs in the election year with stupid interest rate cap.

Corruption is a non-issue really in kenya's elections. The eating culture has been with us from the colonial times and that's there is politics anyway. Uhuruto voting block would have defended them on corruption if there was a trickle down effect i.e. allowing money to circulate. With liquidity the NSE would have been above 5000 and a feel good effect would have assured them of victory in 2017.

Instead Uhuru has the same problem as Hillary the "rust belt workers" who see manyake govt as they salivate.

my goggles must be acting up, but uk has put up the sgr, some massive road projects also, laptops for kids, the construction/real estate industry has been booming, the number of shinny ex jap cars being registered has increased by a big margin, nhif is paying medical cost widely, maternity is free even in most private hospitals, lapset has started huko lamu they are dredging ...

Where is this doom and gloom that is being peddled around, of course the opposition will push their case in any way possible, lakini mimi sioni uk akiwa na shida winning back the presidency, the vibe on the ground is not negtive especilly in his strongholds, even martha has endorsed him, and there is something interesting brewing up in western kenya especially huko kwa akina @alph

There is nothing wrong with being proud.
But there is a lot wrong with encouraging tribal voting. The reason our politicians are so corrupt and show complete disregard for the people is because they know they have hoodwinked the public into thinking that tribal allegiance is more important than issues like unemployment, security, corruption, health services .....................

sgr: does not resonate with stronghold. weka skio duniani huko mashinani
road projects: are commonly known as 'kibaki' roads.
laptops: was a pre-election '13 pledge. kulipa deni.
cars and construction: seen as proceeds of graft in the eyes of 'stronghold'
health et al: have never elected a president.

Money is like 6th sense without which all others do not work. Someone has aptly captured the trickle down failures which will determine attitudes.

There is still time to do meaningful work on:

-unemployment, underemployment
-petty crime (moreso rural)
-Matatu/ probox/ duthi menace
-perceived impunity: police, NTSA, county govs, corruption perception.
-KRA harassment of village shopkeepers
-chinese colonization
-runaway betting
-credit reference bureau - affecting (m-swari, etc)
-HELB penalties
-rural-Nairobi migration
-tribalism perception
-Safaricom share price and m-pesa transfer rates
-high school fees
-presidential helplessness (corruption, naivasha bumps, nyama comment, etc)

Trumpish, but that is what people want addressed sio reli (yenye hata haing'oleki), sijui drenching lamu.

SGR- guys from Uhuru's stronghold wonder how this will help them, will it increase price of coffee or tea with reduced transport, theyhave a dormant railway in central the train goes upto ruiru, Nyanyuki, Nyahururu forgot they even have a train so they don't care.
The massive roads are far between and the strong holds have been neglected, have you used the road to Limuru town? only recently did uhuru promise a dual carriage and some minor roads.
Laptops? what laptops only a few schools received TABLETS less than 20k units for all those billions trust me rural guys have not seen the said laptops.
Real estate is tender money and it's only empty malls on the wrong sides of the road and flats built on grabbed land with to let signs all over, ask the developers no one is buying the ones that buy buy cash with nyama money and they are few.
Shiny ex-japans are from sacco loans, MCAs and their clandes, procurement officers, nyama, and pharmacy money.
NHIF it's good, for the extra money being deducted it could be better add to that the limited number of hospitals accepting it.
Free maternity? hehe that collapsed along time ago GoK refused to pay and counties had to stop if at all free maybe at Pumwani and if any kenyan has a little money he'd rather spend it than take his wife to pumwani.
Lapset is a white elephant unless it proves otherwise, Ethiopia has decided to go through Djibouti or is it eriteria? there are no roads to or from the port AT THE MOMENT.

If Obiero did it, Who Am I?
