What does the current law say with regards to self defence. Everyone's assuming that the current law does not provide for self defence which is not correct.

Does the current law require one to lie still as he is being assaulted or attacked? I don't think so.

Tom Cholmodeley was jailed for shooting armed poachers on his own land. This means you can be jailed for confronting armed rustlers who come to steal your cattle. That is how bad the current law is.

The timing is wrong. The issue will be seen from a political prism. I also however believe an individuals house is his/her castle and and has the right to defend oneself.

Under common law a person has a right to use "reasonable force" in self defense.

We must all stand our ground against Kuria and his evil thoughts.

May be the guy has a point. During the ICC hearings, i noted the term "Spontaneous violence" repeated so many times and almost glorified as lawful especially by lawyer katwa kigen. The same song of "spontaneous violence" was also in the mouths of some politicians trying to exonerate themselves from the 2008 PEV. So if you are attacked in a spontaneous manner you should cede your ground to the attackers (*,)

You are sensationalizing the whole thing. If I remember correctly, the same courts exonerated Tom for the first fatal shooting. Meaning that the second conviction must have been evidence based.

But in true Kenyan fashion, let not allow facts to get in the way of a good argument, right.
