What if the unemployed, disgruntled, the poor and hopeless who make up for majority of the Kenyan population decide that they've had enough?!

Are we prepared for such eventualities?

I read an interesting article by Bitange Ndemo.. really got me thinking, where an expert insinuated that Kenya is a ticking time-bomb as we all assume that the divide in Kenya is normal. I heard another expert just before the last elections saying that majority of Kenyan young men don't think they have anything worth losing in Kenya.

The expert Ndemo is writing about concluded that unrest in Kenya is inevitable. What do you think?

Anyway, Google Bitange's article in one of the local dailies, it makes for a good read.

The leaders have hoodwinked unemployed youth and poor village peasants that having a person of your tribe in power is more important than having a government that provides jobs, health, security and fights corruption and incompetence.

So as the youth fight each other and call each other names, the elites are busy eating, looting billions and building mansions in Kenya and overseas.

There is a youtube video of president Uhuru speaking in vernacular telling youth that they must always be proud of their tribe. Thats a roundabout way of telling the poor peasants that tribal loyalty is the most important thing. His father did the same thing to the detriment of the country.

So don't count on Kenyans to wake up and start voting on issues. We are a brainwashed people.

Are you sure about what President Kenyatta said? Please put the video or link here.

Surprise many in what way?
Mutahi Ngunyi is just a corrupt thief. I was really disappointed in him.

BBI will solve it

So does that mean Ngunyi should be left out of the preparations of the 'unthinkable'? What about his employers?

Who is left to do the preparations?

Not if Raila keeps this up.

Does he learn anything? Finally, some quarters are rumbling with annoyance over corruption, theft and uselessness of the Jubilee government ...even deep in Kyuk country some people must be waking up to the reality that Uhuru and Ruto are completely useless ....and if not Kyuks, sympathizers, the ones who were easily co-opted into voting for the duo ...then Raila digs up this ICC issue, the same totem the two used to galvanize votes and soundly beat him, brings it front and center, instead of hammering home the corruption and other ills then watch Jubilee self-immolate ...
Jubilee is smiling. Raila is handing them a lifeline. He is outfoxing himself, to repeat this mistake seems unfathomable; I think I over-rated his intelligence and strategy skills. Terrible

It's almost certain that amongst the Agikuyus and Kalenjins, there are many who would want Uhuruto out yesterday. What the two tribes now need is a presidential figure who will re-assure them and then they will come along. Raila just did the opposite in that speech and his continued vitriol ain't helping the course either. Someone slap him shut!Sad

You are qualifying your comment by arguing for a none existent option for now. I bet if the opposition fronted any other candidate, they would find a reason to reject him/her.

One here, even though i might be the only existing onesmile . Meanwhile, i think Uhuru needs to get himself a life size mirror and have it in a private room where he can go look at himself at least 3 times a day!. Each time he looks at himself, he should say the following words,"If i am going to lose the 2017 elections, which i am going to lose anyway, i will blame it on the DP and corruption".
