What about those of us who are already locked inside the cabin? How long shall we wait to see some ups in share price?

I said here long ago that we need a CEO with the necessary aviation background. An expat will do very well in KQ. The cartels sorrounding this Company (including Ngunze and Naikuni) due to the huge revenue it generates can only be dealt with by a no-nonsense expat who knows what must be done for an airline to perform in a very competitive market.

I had predicted that it wont take long for MJ to discover that Ngunze is not the right guy. The other board directors must have voted unanimously for his exit. I believe he never attended the board meeting.

Possibly. HNA bought [or is buying] 49% of Servair. It's flagship airline also flies from China to various destinations. It also flies to/from Guangzhou which is popular with Kenyans/Africans [many West Africans use KQ via Nairobi to go to China] for "shopping" and that's a huge market.

It is a force to reckon but not playing the league of Etihad. HNA's airline investments is mostly in China. The strongest airline they own is Hainan which is ranked 4th in China.

These are initiatives that were long overdue. It is originating from the commercial department and not from the CEO's office.

KQ's recovery will only start when a CEO with the right aviation experience takes over next year. There is nothing much going on now.

Round 2 of the rally is about to appear in the next 2-3 months.. I have my ears to the ground as this is not a stock for all.. A high beta stock that could easily make you rich or wipe out your life investment
