The July 11 attack on the Terrain hotel complex

A very sad tale of the events, despite the fact that the UN peace keeping mission was less than a mile away, and very sad that its the South Sudanese troops perpetrating the atrocities!

Sad Sad Sad

Kenya govt decision making here was obviously not well thought through. The incident was soo.. bad that it would have made sense for us to quietly remove our general. The added publicity generated by the govt actions can only make us look worse than we already are looking.

Besides, this general should take responsibility as the head regardless of whether he had enuf time to prepare or not before the attack, thats the way things work in the rest of the world.

Just wondering why 'we' are pushing our troops out of SS over a 'simple' issue, while remaining in 'complex' Somalia!!!

This is a tough mission. Dealing with Southern Sudanese is a tall order. I don't see KDF agreeing to engage with the Southern Sudan Army.

Noticed something... the fellow was called Lt-Gen Johnson Mogoa Kimani Ondieki. The people defending his firing call him Ondieki... the ones beefing about kenya leaving SS call him Kimani.
