You are very mean @swenani. Isn't it bad enough that he is going down as a one term guy ? Please don't rub it in. Be kind.

Enyewe 2 years is a looooong time in politics. And to imagine there is someone talking about 2022.

How are you guys coming up with the assumption that UMK is not going to make it (win 2017 elections) in serving his second term? And if so, who do you think will replace him?Pray Pray smile

8,000 votes. That's the magical number that helped UMK avoid a runoff. And that's after one of the most fascinating and well oiled voter mobilisation strategy ever seen. Do you know 8 months before election you couldn't enter karatina market as a trader without proof of registering as a voter ? It was an unbelievably efficient underground movt.

Two questions now; what will be the rallying call ? Icc card is gone. Voter mobilization this time around seems to favour the other team. Short of masukuma repeating what he did in 2007, it's one term. Thank God our kids may have a future.

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly That's a silly lieShame on you Shame on you .Do you know for how long the market has been under construction?

Are your fingers working faster than your brain ? So after the market went into construction, the traders went back home ama ? That's my home but I understand you. The typical jubilee supporter displays a lower than average IQ.

I can bet my balls to be smashed on an anvil.
Uhuru is going to be there for his second term. Till 2022.

Agreed. There is no one term presidency in KE. Ask Baks.

indeed! there is no one term presidency in kenya... UNTIL THERE IS ONE!

Let's see if we can do a "trump-like" election next year.

Not in Kenya where the Raila fear factor and tribal card plays a big role in presidential elections.

What if Raila plays Kingmaker? Say, for instance: Sonko tosa?

RAO is enough rallying call. Equal to or greater than ICC.

The 'worst' scenario for Jubilee is the unlikely but voluntary absence of RAO on the ballot.

Having observed the under-performance, artful thuggery in current administration, I would vote a Donald Trump if he stood against Uhuruto - newcomer, non-politician who will obliterate the ruling families.

Where art thou, Donald Trump twin brother?

RAO not running might not be enough...the spin masters will just as easily paint him as the puppet-master bogeyman lurking in the shadows, "controlling" the opposition candidate of the time.
The short-sighted, irascible mountain plebiscite would eat up that story. Slam dunk. Damned if he runs, damned if he doesn't.
In short, there are no remedies. We are stuck with this tribalism condition. We are f***ed. This entire generation of idiots (us) needs to die off....
perhaps in 25 years we can make sensible choices.

Interestingly even with the continuing rampant theft of public resources, Jubilee is not concerned with 2017, their concern is 2022.

BBI will solve it

Most billionaires in kenya are probably no different....they could be drug lords or thieves or people who have benefitted from grabbing government land. Very Few have made money through clean business if any.

Can someone like James Mwangi be accepted as a "Donald Trump" outside Mt Kenya?
And what would motivate him to run for presidency?
