Had you been following the campaigns even a little, you would have noticed that the Clinton team tried to scare world citizens with an 'anyone but Trump' message, as they tried to hide their email scandal for which she ought to be in jail as Manning.

It was marginally about issues if at all for them, and sadly it seems it still is.

Had you been following my posts you would have noticed that i don't give two sh*ts about the US election. Hapa ni trolling tu!

Oh! Right! Moving swiftly on.

Hehehe...flash back when President Trump appeared on WWE Wrestle-Mania for the "Battle of the Billionaires" against Vince McMohan. He defeated Vince McMohan and even shaved his head as part of the bet. Trump has been winning since time immemorial. People should realize that Trump has been a celebrity.

find top 3 things and address them and only them. for the US it was Jobs (The Rust belt is know as the rust belt for a reason... old dead industries), immigration and homeland security.

The democrats have been preparing a Hillary presidency kutoka them days.Hiyo kichapo amepewa na trump ndio alipewa na Obama in 08 and we were all shocked how a Blackman could get nominated for a major party. For the democrats their will be a lot of soul searching if Hillary was the right candidate

Voters just flat out rejected Hillary. This election has been more or less a landslide victory for the Donald. Even Colorado would have been Red had it not been for all the pot head liberals who have recently moved there from California in large numbers and made it lean Democrat. Even a New England State (Maine) has given Trump one electoral vote, something that's never been seen since Reagan. Democrats should go back to the drawing board and rethink their strategy. Fronting Hillary and playing politics with the Midwesterners livelihoods was a very bad idea.

I think they misread ONE AREA the midwest. They got everything else right but they failed to address the rust belt. Detroit and their General motors e.t.c. She is likely to get the popular vote (trailing by half a million and the west is still counting) but as I said... someone will wish that there is a market place for votes coz she is winning 'bigly' in the west but a win of 60% is just as useful as a win of 50%.
The train is still moving until it gets to 310 ish. The Zeitgeist was Jobs, Immigration and Security.

Masukuma, isn't the truer trend that the rural areas voted more than they have ever voted before?

Yes they did but I don't know if you noticed the west especially California was really pushing it's electorate. I always knew the rural folk will out perform the urban folk since for them it was personal... but Clinton's weakness was failure to revitalize her base in all urban areas just not where they were balling and churning new billionaires. Not all urban areas are the same. But I guess this is academic now. RIP the Clinton and Bush dynasties.

Maybe Hillary would have performed better if the 11m illegal immigrants were eligible to vote since she had promised them a path to citizenship.

nah!! they would be in urban areas in the south and not in the midwest. So maybe she would have won Arizona and Florida... Her issue is not about the popular vote (I suspect she may win the popular vote) it's about where your people are!! She is cutting down the popular vote right now (it's at 300k). Her tragedy is that her campaign died from 1000 cuts.... not a decapitation.

Hillary's mistake was going up and down the Midwest denigrating Trump's character to desperate people who had lost their jobs. Trump on the other hand told them what they wanted to hear. Trump promised to bring back the BIG 3 (Chrysler, Ford and GM) back to the Midwestern states. Ever since the auto industry collapsed in these States, these people have had to endure so much heartache. They had to walk out of their homes and watch their houses go into foreclosures, lose their sons and daughters to gun crime and drugs because of the poverty that was created, move to other States where they were not welcome and didn't have the neccessary skills to fit into the job markets there (most of these people had been in the auto industry their whole lives). I know so many people from Detroit who are bitter at how their lives took a downward spiral after the BIG 3 left.

Point is, these people don't really care how many women's genitals Trump has grabbed, they don't care if he refused to reveal his tax returns, they just want their jobs back so that they can go back to their homes and raise their families in a dignified manner.

When a person is desperate, they really don't care about politics, they just want to be given an opportunity to be productive. Trump promised them that. Hillary didn't. That was the difference. Nothing else mattered really. Not immigration, or even national security, the promise to bring back the BIG three and all the factories in Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and West Pennsylvania won the day. If you look clearly, all the other States voted exactly like they were projected to vote, the only surprises were those four states which have traditionally been part of the Blue wall.

In other words, Hillary forgot to fix her house first before going to meddle in Syria and Libya and promising Illegal aliens path to citizenship and other goodies while her own citizens are wallowing in despair because their jobs were taken away. I believe Trump will make the Midwest great again. In three years, the BIG three and all it's affiliates will be back. People's livelihoods will always trump politics. Pun intended.

Hambuglar, you are just proving to me that people were conned by the best conman in the world ever.

Please advise us how the big 3 come back? Slowly please. Will Trump give the big 3 a bailout? Isn't that not what Obama did and was hated for by the very same fellas?

It's true that he told them what they wanted to hear. But my friend, there shall be no company in the world going to commit suicide by taking back production to the US.

They should have learned from the other parts of the country that moved away from manufacturing a long time ago and are flourishing.

It is economically unviable to run a manufacturing plant in the US. With the attitude of hating the chinese, the chinese will knock off each and every one of their ideas going forward.

Just look at the phone market in Kenya and notice how Samsung and even Infinix has eaten into Apple.

excellent elaboration... he knew where to press. You see, rural jobs used to be based around one big local business -- a factory, a coal mine, etc. When the business dies, the town dies.. The new business and jobs were occurring elsewhere.

the big 3 left and everyone suffered. Hillary did not have her finger on the pulse of the these regions. For them this was bread and butter issue. 60% of the voters disapprove of trump but they voted for him why? he had an answer for them...an answer for their issues at home. What options did they have? In the bible (I know you don't read it) there is a story of lepers who are in a sieged city - there is a great hunger in there. they say to themselves - we stay here... we die... we leave and head towards the army... we MAY die. they took action. I am guessing the Midwestern democrats did the same. Trump provided HOPE and Hillary nothing for them. They hate the guy but they decided to take their chances. I think there is a lesson for Kenyans here. If you are an Okuyu who is suffering under UK... why vote for him? jaribu kwingine... WHAT IS THE WORST THAT CAN HAPPEN?
