One of the BEST decisions I made was to bail out of KQ when I stopped trusting the Board/Management. No wonder Naikuni and Mbugua had minimal shares in KQ. They were stealing together with the other managers.

Good luck to anyone who has shares in KQ.

*What a pity that GoK increased its exposure to KQ. Those who approved the bailout should be sacked.*

All these had been exposed by the Standard. Alex and Ngunze knew this blatant plunder and outright mismanagement of the Airline, If their masters are siphoning billions through SPVs then why not them. They should also put their hands in the honey jar, period.

The first step of cleansing this airline is to kick out Ngunze then followed by all his appointees.

We await another week of share price appreciation. KES 5 likely to be visited

The week will be a tough one. No appreciation to be recorded. The strike will paralyze the operations fully. Everyone is playing hard ball for the god fathers to continue raking in super profits at the expense of employees, safety, customers, the other shareholders and all other stakeholders including the suppliers of essential services.

This is how the mess being overseen by Ngunze looks like. It fully explain why KQ is in the red since 2010. Gerard Clarke left, Mbuvi Ngunze should depart.

What is exposed here still continues at KQ . Right now is worse than the above mess. Guys now know they are leaving. Looting must be executed to the maximum to compensate for being out of employment.

John 5:17 But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.”

The more time they are allowed to remain, the more damage. Go go go go go KALPA, uproot Ngunze on Tuesday.

I'm curious. Did KQ really need Mckinsey before an audit was done?

It wasn't needed and it is not needed even now. Only a competent management is required. Alex was another dunderhead who was corrupt to the core.

I did inform him. The operations will come to a stand still if Ngunze insist on remaining. Abuja did not deserve to be axed as it was recently introduced and break-even point could not have been realized in a very short period. Ngunze is running down this Airline with his shallow thinking and should be let go with immediate effect.

In 2012, I dumped my KQ shares. I made a loss. It hurt but I learnt an invaluable lesson.
I re-read Warren Buffett's writings.

The FIRST lesson is NOT to invest in firms if you do NOT trust the Management/Board. If you invest in a firm and were hoodwinked by the Management/Board or it changes or its philosophy changes and you cannot change the management... take your loss and BAIL OUT. Period.

Olympia, Mumias, KQ, Home Afrika, TCL, Sasini, etc. Run by crooks at some point in time. Olympia is still run by a crook. Sasini shareholders? Good luck if you see any substantial return.

The SECOND lesson is you wants managers with SKIN IN THE GAME be it in shares/ownership or a performance package linked to LONG-TERM (sustainable) PERFORMANCE.

THIRD, do not invest in a business without a MOAT. Invest in a business an idiot can run because one will eventually do so. Of course, when that happens and you realize it then be ready to bail out.

It does not matter which firm it is... So if anyone feels that any of the 3 apply to firms I have an interest in, please let me know what and why. Thank you.

More cancellations yet to come. This is just the tip of the iceberg. The only way to force the much needed change in KQ is through this.

This shows you the kind of person the MD is...he is willing to kill the airline just because of his own selfish interest.Very sad.

@Obiero tell us your plan on KQ portfolio this week. Are you on your exit earlier than Monday?

Fired then who do you employ in such short notice???You cannot run an airline like a matatu some of the processes are complex and people who have had experience are the only ones who can handle such stuff...How fast can a new person learn how to use Altea?

Even cabin crew requires training. Ngunze must go!!!!!Most individual shareholders have no control of this airline. Only the cartels in collusion with the political class have the control through Ngunze.
