 Did they consider fifth freedom rights to these destinations from neighboring countries.The fortunes of KQ even in Africa are dwindling. It is due to the fleet reduction that is forcing them to axe these routes and I think more terminations will follow.I thought the reduction in loss will translate to  new markets development.Meanwhile ET is landing in Comoros very soon and they will be forced to scale down the additional frequency. 
The reduction of capacity to Europe was an ill-informed decision. Intra-Africa traffic numbers are very low and you need transfers from Europe and Asia to supplement. A new management with new way of thinking is required to chart a strategic direction for KQ. With continued stay of Ngunze, this airline will not recover.
