“Our color here is not the right color now in South Africa,” Le Roux says, echoing the complaint of many impoverished whites, mostly Afrikaners who are descendants of early Dutch and French settlers.

There are currently 430,00 whites living in the slums. Any society would be gravely worried when such a huge number of people move from the middle and upper class to the slum dwelling class in just 20yrs. What is funny about SA is that the whites are considered foreigners despite having settled in SA in 1600s, long before zulus immigrated from the congo forest, basically meaning the zulu are the foreigners. Infact the white settlers of the Cape first came face to face with the Bantu around 1770 on the banks of the Great Fish River, 120 years after Van Riebeeck settled at the Cape, and they encountered the bantus 1000 km east of Cape Town. Also the boers were conquered and defeated by the british in 1890's (when kenya was also colonised) and boers were given "uhuru" by britain in 1961.

Do 400,000 whites live in squatter camps in South Africa, as claimed in a recent BBC report. Are there really 80 “white squatter camps” dotted around Pretoria? The answer to both is no.
