Most of these findings were already in the public domain. KALPA SEC. General narrated some during the previous press conference e.g Europe tickets being sold below the market rates. Non-remittance from travel agents.

No controls at KQ. People are eating left right and centre. If Ngunze was an intelligent chap, he could have sealed all these loopholes long ago in 2011 when he was first appointed.

Scroll to 2:18 and listen to the Europe under priced tickets.

Yes. The problem is very big.Those KALPA guys were giving an estimate of KES 100 billion as revenue lost through the discounts offered to travel agents. Ngunze has been consistently talking about this failed strategy as a way of improving sales yet the reality is totally different. An airline need a strong management team, the situation is more worse currently since he has gone ahead to appoint managers who are not capable at all.

Not sure why the audit on the Cargo was backdated to 2001. Raila's name roped in.

There are no faulty airplanes. Modern airplanes have Go-NOGO faults with EICAS as a very handy tool. Please wacha rumours and ask professionals to help u out.

The media talked about delays or cancellations which were nonexistent.

Maintenance not being carried out up to the required standards due to departure of key engineers. Managers now in charge of maintenance and they only perform just the basic maintenance for an aircraft to take off. Without proper checks and maintenance even if the plane is new it will malfunction.

No key spare parts/ rotables due to budget cuts.

KALPA already written to KCCA on the issue. Ministry of transport have further appointed a committee to look at the lack of human capacity and report back.

May be a first major as Boeing was involved. The other issues were sorted out by the technical providers/ KQ technical.

Who still doubt KLM is ripping off KQ. The price at which those 2 aircrafts were sold to KQ is not in line with the market list prices for such old aircraft type.

Has it gained anything above the one recorded in friday? Where is the rally you talked about?

This information does not filter much. It is only Standard publishing online, not sure if it is on the print edition.

Wanjiku do not know what is going on. Do you remember, there was one in the AGM saying the board and the management should be left to do the job and Macharia should keep off?

All the board members especially the old ones and the entire management should be send home if this Co. is to survive. The vested business interests are just too many.
