Why not and everybody will be in JP and there will be no room for defection as per the political parts act?

JP won't see 2020. Watch this space!
And you can defect anytime only that you can't stand on another party if you had been on the nomination list of another for a particular election.

They don't necessarily need to vote for him for him to be president by the way. Sometimes Nyumba has this exaggerated self importance. Was Nyumba as great as it wants us to believe, I wonder why Matiba and Kibaki never made it. Kibaki only made it much later after getting backing from all the other 'Kenyans'. Ruto is one astute politician. If he senses Nyumba will desert him, he will easily build bridges with other tribes and Nyumba will go back to Opposition where they lived for ages.
