Not surprised that the JP sycophants are yet to comment on this thread smile

Yes I am JP, but not a sycophant, but I have not commented because the last time I said we should save Nairobi national park from SGR I was told the animals should be moved and we subdivide the park into tu-plots. That we should not be congested when beasts are living large at NNP. So I feared that if I said that we preserve that forest, i would be rebuked and told that those trees should be cut down and we settle on the land.

So what is JP's position on this?

It is unfortunate that We still do not understand the effects of climate change , ironically the UNEP HQ sits in Nairobi.

But you are the same people who have been advocating for the degazzetement of nairobi national park? So you love the forest but not the park while both mitigate against climate change? You can not be saying one thing (destruction) when we talk about the national park and say another (conservation) when we discuss that forest, what they call "talking out of both sides of the mouth". We either conserve all ecosystems or none.

This destruction of the forest was covered on Sunday Nation. I expected muthamaki to be on site on Monday morning sacking people, ordering for investigations and prosecutions and giving instructions on massive re-planting of trees. To my shock, I saw selfies of meat eating.

Magufuli type management style is what kills a country. We all remember Moi with his "mara moja roadside declarations". For a country with working institutions like kenya does today, what the country's ceo does is to ask for answers from the CS (Wakhungu) and then he gives his recommendations. FYI no one even the president himself has power to allocate any public land.

Kenya Forest Service not Kenya Wildlife Service.

Could this be another case of hogwash press?

The Daily Nation owes everyone an explanation. Either they are lying or KFS is now lying to cover their butt after having been exposed.

They sure do. And if the story is true why put pictures of other sites that are not Ngong forest? I like CS Wakhungu. She appears credible to me. She needs to speak out on this matter immediately and put it to rest
