The problem with democracy is that people choose the most popular candidate, not the most competent, to run their affairs. Then they spend all their time criticizing the competence of the popular candidate they chose.

I have always asked people to differentiate Modernity, Democracy, Freedom and Prosperity... they are not the same thing and it's possible to have one without the other. The lie we were sold was that democracy would make us develop.... nope... democracy is just a voice. knowing that your voice is heard... that's just it. All of human existence is not 'development'. I have just watched the interview on youtube (I didn't watch last night coz I had taken my sponsee out) and I wanna say that Migoona is the right guy for the job - despite me being in Jubilee. He is way way above the other candidates when it comes to offering solutions to fixing Nairobi.

He was debating the wrong people - and he said it. He is way above those other petty candidates.
