It's a million times easier to question God than question the national anthem.

Live Updates ran as 9:25 p.m.: Medal ceremony for marathon top three. Way cool.... 9:35 p.m.: a ceremony recognizing the Games' volunteers.... 9:45 p.m.: flag handover ceremony from Rio de Janeiro to Tokyo....

It wasn't played during the closing ceremony. It was played after Kenya won the marathon. It didn't have anything to do with closing ceremony.

It was played because Kenya had won a gold medal in the marathon. It's not like it had been lined up to be played during the closing ceremony. If another country had won, then it is their anthem that would have been played. That said, I do understand your need to feel special, and on top of the world.

So it was not played during the closing ceremony? Posts #1 & #8 are very clear on this!!! In the business world, everyone is paid in two coins - cash and experience.
