Do we have dedicated lane for such a humongous thing??...NO..So we shall be competing with it on our normal lane Uhuru highway, jogoo road etc..typical case of attempting to run before you can crawl.. poor strategy... Thought so, round abouts will be catastrophic. I used to see them in the west, I'd they had to turn they had to consume 2 lanes meaning the driver had to stay in the middle of two lanes to block another car from being next to it. Having said that hii Kenya yetu with this numerous rounds abouts won't be possible. But let's wait and see

Govt tried Nyayo bus and it failed. Kanjo was a big shareholder in Kenya Bus and it failed. Govt has no business running business. Let govt do its bit of collecting taxes and using the taxes to build and maintain roads and other infrastructure. Then the businessmen and companies can run the matatus and buses.
These companies and businesses are the entire reason the public transport sector is a chaotic mess.

But let's wait and see Addis with it's roundabouts has had these buses for close to 3 years now without the special BRT lanes If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

For any vehicle to be licensed to operate on any public road it has to be compliant to road and traffic regulations. That is why the bus bends hapo katikati to ensure it sticks to it's lane, literally, hata kwa round about.

After all, we do license articulated trucks (truck and trailer). the bus should have no trouble cornering as long as its not speeding

This bus would be magic if well maintained. They can do airport to westlands via southern bypass. It would be a big hit! Business opportunities are like buses, there's always another one coming

London transport, arguably the best in the world is run by the metropolitan. Ditto for other major cities. KBS didn't fail,it was made to fail! The "London metropolitan" doesn't own any buses nor does it employ any drivers, managers, mechanics etc. All they do is to contract private companies to run buses on the various london bus routes, and the contract states what age, size, colour etc the buses should be. Also timings and fares. The companies are paid a certain pre-agreed amount for each km covered. It's much like Kidero "tendering/selling" the various nairobi bus routes to saccos and then kidero demanding and monitoring that that they meet certain requirements for them to be allowed to operate. Just like Kenya's Transport Licensing Board has been doing, licensing saccos to operate on specific route, only that here kidero or govt doesn't pay the matatus and buses. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Buses

No they control/regulate the system. "Run" is a strong term that suggests that they own and operate a fleet of buses, like what stagecoach/kbs/kanjo used to do in nairobi.
