17. Voi - Taveta road (arguably the widest single carriage road in Kenya). 18. E-citizen. Just renewed my DL and my Passport without chucking kitu kikubwa, not to mention nightmare queues at Times towers and Nyayo house But as in all score cards....we must also punch holes where nothing has been achieved 1. Mass rapid-urban transport for Nairobi and Mombasa 2. Corruption is still a pain 3. Mass low-cost housing (by nhc) in mlolongo....(NHC is a big let down to Kenyans. It has done Kenyans a very big disservice). They should build houses from Turkana to Mandera, From Lamu to Kwale and save Kenyans from deaths caused by greedy landlords and inept and corrupt county govts/municipal councils 4. Cartels (actually cartels have ensured nos. 1,2,3 above) will never be achieved. 5. Deployment of NSSF funds to development (e.g., nssf funds can be used to ensure each and every worker/contributor has decent housing...lakini Atwoli never speaks about this meaning he is either very daft or he is a hypocrite who does not care about wafanya kazi...he just make noise for his selfish needs) etc Dumb money becomes dumb only when it listens to smart money

etc This is a tired argument that has been consistently used to discredit Jubilee and give credit to Risasi one. Others have even gone through great deal of pain trying to cheat Kenyans that the Mega Thika highway and by passes in Nairobi were RAO's brainchild, which we all know is a white lie. Today (August 10 2016)on KTN breakfast news, a Professor in some media school ignorantly stated that SGR was a grand-corruption(nusu mkeka govt) project. What the good professor like all nay sayers forgot to point out, was that there is a difference between saying-you-will-do and actually doing. Yaani kuna tofauti ya kusema na kutenda. Jubilee is actually laying the bricks. Risasi moja gallivanted around the country singing infrastructure, infrastructure, infrastructure....but during his five year tenure as prefect (Muthaura was headboy, Kalonzo was deputy headmaster)only a kilometer of tarmac was laid on this road. I cannot talk about old Jomo days as headmaster, but what i know is that this(Jubilee gaarment) is the first government in my lifetime where an elected government has actually worked towards fulfilling promises on its manifesto. Infact in 2012, some residents were demonstrating about the slow pace of progress Tembea kenya saa zingine! I totally concur with you that the project was initialised ages ago and thats why i am saying that Jubilee should be given credit for not "saying/promising" to complete it, but rather actually getting a contractor on the ground and completing the works (kusema na Kutenda), unlike Baba who like all Arsenal fans is known for "Mouth possession" and no tangible results.Arsenal is known for winning in ball possession stats but not scoring goals. It is goals that win you matches. Likewise it is kutenda that completes projects. Sio mouth possession(kusema). Zao ni kusema tu....hata Pombe Magufuli is now saying atajenga 6000KM SGR from Mtwara to Mwanza, sijui atafanya nini, lakini hata simiti bag moja hajanunua Dumb money becomes dumb only when it listens to smart money

This theory of 'That was a Kibaki project, not a Jubilee project's always leaves me asking....Were the duo supposed to ignore all projects that were ongoing and start fresh ones? E.g. the SGR thing, were they supposed to ignore it and start another one from Nairobi to Gatundu and Bomet for it to qualify as Jubilee project? The roads e.g. Outering, Voi one and others, were they to be ignored and start fresh ones from Nairobi to Bomet or what exactly were they expected to do? When Vision 2030 was designed on paper, I remember it was to be anchored into the development agenda in a way that future governments would still implement them for continuity purposes...Or what am I missing?

This one I can answer. They were supposed to proceed and steal the usual 10%. The duo sometimes take a bigger cut than the cost of the project. From analysts at my local, SGR their cut was around 40%. Upcoming western bypass around 60%. SGR phase two around 60%. NYS projects 80%.

Apart from carrying out the projects initiated by the previous governments, the jubilee goverments were to initiate their own projects e.g extend SGR from Kisumu to Kitale, Tarmack Garissa -Mandera road, provide an allowance to men who get women pregnant etc. They should not joyride on Kibaki's success If Obiero did it, Who Am I?
