No i didn't. My political philosophy wouldn't allow me to support the democrats. My beliefs are "right wing" and I always support the "right". That is why i support the Conservatives (UK), Republicans (US), Putin, Mugabe, Museveni, and Jubilee (Kenya). I never support leftist/socialist/liberal movements. So it's nothing personal with BO or baba or Besigye, Tsviangirai etc.

People who believe greatness is something that was accomplished long ago. I used to be one of those guys... pessimists of the unknown. The frame of mind. People who cling on ideas of liberals of long ago. People who don't believe that they are smarter today than they were yesterday and if they do - don't believe that they can change those decisions they made yesterday. Remember, it is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent; it is the one most adaptable to change!! Change is that one constant and you must embrace it or pass away. The republicans used to be that party. The liberal party - the forward looking party. They led the country to kick away slavery... not sure when they became a small tent party.

I thought Jubilee are more liberal than cord, well at least at face value.

In Kenya its difficult and almost impossible to know which party is on the Left and which one on the Right.

Its a confused amalgam...people change parties overnight, parties have no ideology, parties are led by "owners" who cultivate hero-worship culture and former ruling parties becomes obsolete after their terms in office has ended.

There is nothing like Libs and Conservatives in KE.

The left-right distinction is there even in our politics. ODM'S ideology is social democracy which is a left wing ideology, while TNA/Jubilee has nationalism and conservatism as its ideology which basically means right wing/conservative.

Oya! Why post links that have nothing to do with the argument only a history of how the two parties came to be. In Kenya and most if not all African countries do not seem to have any of those distinctions you're insinuating.
