Many of your "Middle East" ideas work very much against Kenyan and African interest, the US was a long customer of middle east oil, just to be abused by shallow thinking terrorist minded middle east fanatic about oil oil oil, now they are leaving, let us see how this "middle east" of yours will survive without dollars, ngoja tuone! . My friend Americans wamesoma sana! and not just Islamic studies like middle east fellows, they can survive with much less oil. The stone age did not come to an end because of shortage of stones, neither will the the oil age come to an end because of lack or a particular persons need for oil (to paraphrase some good Saudi Arabian ministers warning), pole ndugu United States was a very good and long customer to oil in the middle east, only for the trader to gossip and abuse the customer, and call them evil, yet there is a certain kind of evil about someone who takes your money and turns around to backbite you, middle east sycophants semeni bye bye to middle east goodies and yes start preparing to sell the gold Bentley's, the "Islamic banks" and welcome back the camel. As i said this is AFRICA, your middle east is middle east, we run on different ideas! Ras Kienyeji Man

As i said this is AFRICA, your middle east is middle east, we run on different ideas! oil money dries up and they can kiss goodbye to the sharia laws, try explaining to the young guys with white dresses and red bandannas that they will no longer race their land-cruisers and Ferraris in the desert, try telling them that instead of the white models they run to in the west, they will be stuck with looking at the head to toes black clad alternatives. watajua arab spring ni nini

I meant my comment to the general public especially those who are against those doing something for their rights. I did not mean to direct it to you alone. My mistake. Ok?

As i said this is AFRICA, your middle east is middle east, we run on different ideas! Americans aren't stupid. The reserves they have for oil can supply the whole world for more than 10 yrs unshaken. It can sustain their country alone for more than 30yrs. As the middle eastern are busy selling their oil, americans are busy pumping the excess to their reserves for rainy day when the worlds will be out of it. They are 10 light years smarter. Google America oil security Also to add on that I wonder what the arabs will do with their oil now that there are many insensitives for going green cars in America. It's a matter of time before oil will be the least needed commodity there. Tesla,Chevy volts, nissan leaf are hit cars in usa now and use no oil.

hata sio 'kusoma sana'. unless we have a nuclear holocaust or something that disruptive - hakuna kurudi nyuma. The arabs are the ones who will discover that they are addicted to petro dollars when a disruption takes place in that industry. Watu kama Elon Musk are very intent on ensuring that the addiction to petroleum ends. Then the baby sitting that has been happening will also end. Let me give you an example. prior to the berlin wall falling and USSR falling - the US was very content putting up with the likes of akina Kenyatta, Mobutu e.t.c. but as soon as the cold war ended... well these countries were out in the cold. The reason the west is putting up with Saudia and Co. is because of petroleum - once that game changes... they will not need to put up with these people and.... the only people riding horses will be the ones that don't have anything of value to sell to the rest of the world but they have time to figure it out... Dubai seems to be pushing the right buttons as far as that is concerned. Kuna wengine kama Saudia watakuwa wakiishi kama crocodiles za Mara River waiting for the yearly Hajj ndio watu wakule. A post oil world will be as different as the post mobile phone world has been, we don't know who will benefit and who will lose out. I am sure the developed world and the oil producers will not be early adopters, as they are out to protect their economic way of life which is interlinked with oil. The early adopters will most likely be the alternative economies (read Brics & emerging markets). I for one think the best place to launch an electric car is either India or China, this are the only economies that can withstand the massive disruption of their Industries that an electric car model poses to the automotive industry.
