Has anyone here ever interacted with teens (especially the problematic ones) when they are in solidarity in their element everyday for a term? Those children need guidance in the fullest meaning of the word. We should require those dealing first hand with them, as they ask for their salaries and as they give birth to them, to control them too.

So some of your kids decided to burn a dormitory because the teachers supposedly denied them the luxury of watching the EURO cup matches.

Area MP Zebedeo Opore, requested the CS to reconstruct the dormitories and this is what the CS said.

"School infrastructure is very expensive. The government will not and I repeat will not help in rebuilding the dormitories," he added.

Those present were MPs Joel Onyancha, Jimmy Angwenyi, Hosea Ojwang, former CIC chairman Charles Nyachae and lawyer Ken Nyaundi.

FYI, you will not be able to transfer your unruly kids to another sch. Every transfer has to be approved by the assistant county director.

Wonder when the govt last built any school in Kenya. Matiangi needs to take a chill pill and get off the high road.

The parents of those kids should build the doms...... otherwise it will be a very bad precedence for the govt to build them.... other kids elsewhere will be like what the heck, we burn our school the govt comes in

This guy read the riot act to students about torching school buildings, before his chopper was off the ground, students went ahead to torch a dormitory.

Teens are just too complicated.

Two dormitories were burnt down at Givole secondary school in Vihiga county on Wednesday evening following a fire whose cause is yet to be established.

At least 11 students were rushed to Vihiga referral hospital with injuries sustained during the incident.

It was not clear whether the group was inside affected dormitories, a situation that caused panic in the little known school.

Seriously CS Education is doing a good job.

Look at work he did to KNEC officals and board members.

What you need to know is that no matter what you do or say hakutawahi kosa mtu wa kucriticise and call you names,

Mitchelle Obama said this "No matter what you do, there is always going to be someone who will tell you cannot,or you would have done it this way"

Since when does making roadside declarations equate to doing a good job?

Just like Magufuli, the CS is all talk and no action.

Schools continue to burn while no one bats an eyelid. 4 schools in one week is an indication of failure by the ministry, blame games galore. Are we waiting for another Kyanguli so that the issue can be addressed?

98 schools were burnt by this time last year. It's about time these kids and accomplices are charged in court

It is 4 schools in one night. On 19/07/2016 night we had Malindi(Kilifi), Giakaibei(Nyeri), Mohoho(Kiambu) and Ruthimitu(Nairobi) on fire. This happened after the CS had given the senate committee a report about the same. Within the week, they are quite a number and the cases keep going up.

Most likely explanation. If am a HM used to dipping my hands in the till, matiangi is a real threat to my lifestyle. But if a dorm is burnt in my school, I can ask parents for 15k each to reconstruct. Without having to seek authority from anyone.

So the headmasters are collaborating with the students and security guards to burn the schools? I dont think so.
