The fundamentals are still very poor. The trade volumes are due to stock speculation.

As far as KQ goes we all know the cyclic relationship that always happens between GoK bailouts and share value. I wouldn't wish to hang onto KQ in the name of fundamentals this or fundamentals that; this is a chartist's den. The best way to make money on KQ is to play with the margins. Choose your entry and exit points carefully and ride the momentum because at the end of the day it's not about how may shares you hold, but the value margins on those shares. If the margins are in the negative, you need to re-evaluate your strategy. If they are in the green, things are not looking bad so maybe hang on as you strategize on your exit. Having KQ in the red is not the same as having the likes of Safaricom or Equity in the red. And as far as fundamental analysis goes for KQ, as it does for most if not all GoK run corporates, good fundamentals today may be something else tomorrow so whichever way you look at it, KQ is not a good counter for a serious value investor. I suspect most of the value investors holding KQ have been involuntarily drawn into the situation because they are afraid of exiting due to the potential "Realized Losses" staring at them. Good luck for the KQ die-hards though...mwanaume ni kujiamini

This stock has no fundamentals to boast about! KQ's sale of assets to boost its balance sheet is not enough to take pride in.

After selling assets and leasing some including pilots outsourcing to Ethiopian airlines, KQ's balance sheet is still stinking with skyrocketing debt.

If this stock can rally on expectation of reduced loss, what will happen when we turn a profit.. Fundies are for the weak hearted. We work with inside information. Granted, government firms are not easy to deal in, but we must remember that KQ once traded at KES 126 and based on volume analysis majority of those who witnessed that price are yet to sell. This is a fact

Tomorrow's price is likely to be the final time in recent memory that we shall reach KES 4.60. It is official, the plane is ready for take off

You are forgetting the fact that ensuing court battle by sacked employees might tank this stock further to 2/-.

This time around there shall be no court case. Trust me.. Tomorrow's price and volume action on the share shall show the way forward

Even if it jumps to 4.6/-with huge volume the fact remains this is sugar-coated speculation. Ni kama kukanyaga makaa ya moto! Utakosa kuchomeka kweli? @obiero if your speculation theory obeys you by Fry-dei jump out with more than 30%- otherwise you risk your fortune herein.

KES 4.70 printed. We shall not see these prices again. Once we break out of KES 5.00, only God knows where we shall land. As I have posited and opined here severally, KQ should never have traded below KES 8.00 and its real value is KES 14 with a possible premium of upto KES 45 per share based on return to profitability..

I like the way kq shareholders have managed to encourage themselves despite the stress of watching your wealth eroded significantly.I have really learnt something to do with patience here. This is the only thread that is daily active despite kq 25 billion loss last year.Hope the turnaround will return the business back to profitability. If not we can think of starting a wazua airline.

KES 789,500 could be my take home if I sold today, but I shall not take a shilling less than KES 12. It is worth mentioning that KES 58,800 is my paper gain in the last 3 days.. That's all I know.... However I will not sell even if we reverse temporarily based on tomorrow's massive loss announcement.. As I have said before, this stock isn't for everyone

Obiero wish I had your confidence. If I was in your shoes, I would cash in on the gain. It is likely a loss will be announced and the price will likely reduce, especially in this bear market. So why not sell and re-enter at a lower price?
