Hello Wazuans,Last weekend i went to the garage to fix an oil leak on the Timing Gear cover area. The seal required the top cover of the engine to be removed and i was suprised to get black deposits which the mechanic recommended an engine flush using flushing oil.
The engine is a 4EFE with 153,000 KMs
Below is an image i got from the internet which almost resembles what i saw.

I have read online conflicting information about engine flush,Is use of flushing oil advisable ?

The 4EFE engine is at a minimum 16 years old and that mileage figure is unusually low for a car that old.

As preventive maintenance it would be a good idea to get the engine flush.
