CORDs performance as the lead opposition has been a shambles. The proposed Okoa Kenya referendum flopped because of their own disorganisation; other than press leaks they have not seriously challenged the government on corruption and tyranny of numbers is their excuse for mediocre showing in parliament. Worst of all they labelled hate speech mongers 'political prisoners'. How do you sell such a party as an alternative to the current government? CORD mayn't be perfect but the idea of having everyone in the government is a detriment to the progress of the country we need a robust opposition, civil society and activist who will monitor the government and enhance accountability. If everyone is eating who will make noise about the thief? yeah... watatukula mbaya! let us have an opposition however dysfunctional it is. All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

Baba heckled and forced to flee from angry mob in western. http://www.the-star.co.k...rters-clash-in_c1388536
Quote:ODM leader Raila Odinga was forced to cut short his address at Mudete area in Sabatia constituency after supporters of ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi began making pro-Mudavadi chants.
Crowds gathered by the roadside displayed banners in support of Mudavadi's 2017 presidential bid, while others asked Raila to support the ANC leader's bid.
Attempts by Raila's security team to quiet the chanting proved futile, leading to a scuffle and the destruction of banners.
Raila was forced to cut short his address to ODM supporters gathered on the other side of the road, and left the scene immediately.

Quite right. The people who are rejoicing at CORD's fallout are short sighted. We have a government of crooks and leaving them unsupervised will be a disaster for Kenya. They will rob the country blind. You wait. "The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth." (Niels Bohr)

The problem with CORD is that ODM MPs from a certain region feel they are more important than the rest of the coalition members. Kwanza John Mbadi and Oburu Odinga are the biggest liability to Baba. The way I am

The Cord leader said he had reached out to Mr Mudavadi to join him in forming a formidable alliance to remove the Jubilee coalition from power next year.
“I spoke to Mudavadi yesterday and asked him to join us in ODM. We want to come together all of us so that we can form the next government,” said Mr Odinga, who advised the region to shun Jubilee, saying it had not brought any development to western Kenya.
Mr Mudavadi, however, denied having talked to the ODM leader saying he was more interested in the Luhya community presenting a single presidential candidate than joining other coalitions.
“I am not aware of any conversation with him (Odinga). I would rather the community united behind one presidential candidate and that is what ANC is working on,” he said in a statement.Poor man. what else won't go wrong? Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

The thinking has changed in Western. What the Luyhas are looking for is to form a group which will have negotiating power. They do not want their plate to be carried around by someone else and what RAO is doing is to firefight what will still come to naught. Nobody read that! Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

You could be having good intentions but your karma says something else . 3 times loss ain't a joke . Just change your plan and do something else . Be eminent persons or something . Things will be tough for baba this time .

I was surprised to see that on KTN last night. Was shocked when Weta said baba can never win an election. And that he had decided to avoid baba's western tour - and that is why baba was being heckled. That you can't do things the same way and expect different results. #Wetangulaburnsraila

I don't know why all the newspapers (and their websites) have given watengula's last night explosive interview at KTN a black out. Things were hot.
