So cops are killing a disproportionate number of blacks in the US ? Our figures are around 7000 police killings since 2004 and we have moved on. Not my monkeys, not my circus. So five Dallas police were killed ? Why should I care ? We lost 42 aps in baragoi and another 21 in kapendo. In the first case, our president said nothing. And we left the dead bodies to rot in the hot sun for three days before we could get trucks to bring them to nairobi (500 km). Not my circus, not my circus !!!!! I agree with your sentiments lakini... i have to ask... what suffering did the dead bodies experience having been left in the sun for 3 days? lol If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

You can hide your head in the sand but whatever happens elsewhere affects you here, call it "effects of globalization". The same way the western media sees fit to report on happenings in our tiny third world country called Kenya is the same way we are consuming news from their part of the world. Not sure what your objective is to blatantly lie that Kibaki didnt say anything about the baragoi killings.....ahh I know you must have thought it happened during Uhuru's term right? Justice should prevail in Kenya and beyond for the sake of humanity. Justice for Willie, Mwendwa, Muiruri, Alton, Castille and the 5 cops murdered today. “People will believe a big lie sooner than a little one, and if you repeat it frequently enough, people will sooner or later believe it.” ― Walter C. Langer

interesting quote from a guy WHO IS ALIVE!! If the guy is alive, then it must be because he's embraced and even loves death. So far it seems as if the 'blacks' acted unlawfully and unreasonably and thus met their deaths. But that's not true. In fact, in most of these cases it's the police who've failed to act lawfully and reasonably. When we claim that there's a requirement for 'blacks' to act more reasonably than what's normally reasonable so that they can get away with their lives, we're simply condemning them to a death probably worse than the one we're running away from. This reminds me of the 'I can't breath' incident. No air. No air.

Kuuliza tu, how ethical are you? I have realized it's quite inadequate in your persona. Just a personal observation. I however don't treat the dead in the same way. Some burn their dead (worse end than leaving the bodies in the sun), some throw the dead into holes and cover them up. I think the rituals around the dead are of use to the living not to the dead. a dead person is a dead person... something will eat his/her body - it may be big or small but it will be eaten non the less. I think I am a moral person who does not want people to be reckless with their lives. All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

Most of the police shootings of black people are not because they were rude to police as masukuma is trying to suggest here.
- 12 yr old tamir rice was shot while playing with a toy gun - Sureshbahi Patel was slammed into the ground and paralyzed because he spoke no english - John Crawford was shot in a supermarket while talking on his cell phone. - Both Levar Edward Jones and Philando Castile were shot while complying with police orders.
And so forth
A justice dept investigation in St Louis in 2015 showed that there is a a sub-culture of racism that pervades police depts. They found senior police officers sharing racist jokes via e-mail. They found that police have no problem framing black victims. This is what contributes to police dehumanizing black folk. Every country has this issue.
Black Americans did not get the rights they have by being docile. So a protest movement is appropriate. I applaud those who take to the streets to protest.

What does the living APs think? What of the families of the victims? I happen to have gone through a subject called S.E.E in high school and they mentioned something called 'empathy'. I believe you lack that in reference to the dead and related living persons. I concur with you that rituals performed to the dead are for the living. However, can't you just respect someones ritual to his/her dead as you do to his/her religion? It is theirs, and if you are the government, then you need to support the bereaved in all ways possible. Especially if they died in the line of duty. I have never seen or heard of a dead soldier purposely left in the battle field, unless the battalion is completely wiped. Sorry, that is not a discussion here(this thread).
