"Kenya Airways has commenced its staff rationalisation exercise with 80 staff set to be affected in the first phase of a redundancy plan that will see 600 employees retrenched or moved." 600 well paid professionals about to lose their jobs. This is horrible. Mismanagement and corporate strategic mistakes have a real tangible human cost

Let's give it a week or two, I'm sure it'll be on twitter and FB.

And it's usually the loyal juniors who suffer the most. Sad but what to do Yeah. We just have to remember as employees, our jobs are as secure as the notice period in the contract. No one owes us anything, yet we spend so much more than the 40 hours a week at work (or whatever contracts say) and let it take control of our lives.

No promises to be made since no one knows what tomorrow holds. It is very rare to have cost saving initiatives in a Company that does not touch on staffing.
