Brexit voters and pro-Remain members of the electorate who failed to turn out because they were confident of the win had been calling in.

We had people phone up today wanting to change their vote or ask if they could still vote as they don’t want to leave
then you realise people are just people... voter education is for everyone.
Just shows that voters are dumb the world over. In old Britain not everyone had the right to vote. Only those who owned property aka landowners could vote and therefore they knew that their decision at the ballot would greatly affect them. This universal suffrage was a big mistake. Even in kenya we should change the rules and say only those who are worth at least 1m and have a university degree can vote.Otherwise how do you allow a poor jobless semi-literate kibera resident to determine the destiny of a middle-class lavingtoner at the ballot? That's total madness.
actually what you are proposing (meritocracy) has been tried before. it didn't work! the premise of universal suffrage is great.. it forces the bourgeoisie to stoop low in an attempt to lift the people with the votes get on board with their program. in the longer run this improves society and does not make the class differences that pronounced and reduces the sense of entitlement that clouds the bourgeoisie thinking.
On a different note i used to think Sisi wafrika don't like to read or be knowledgeable ,but .... kumbe it's a shame that most Brits went to vote knowing what EUROPEAN UNION is. NOW they want to go back.so from today hence forth waache kuita wafrika undecided . Stupid embiceles
Don't always believe what you read or watch in mainstream media.Even if it were true it's just that a section of voters have just been shocked out of their MSM induced reverie of herd mentality. They preferred tokens from group think of a supranational government they do not even elect in the first place so long as they 'remain with others'. Surely by not accepting the results they don't like and wishing to be under the rule of an unelected government shows democracy is a wasted concept on them - they do not deserve it and it's a relief they are currently outnumbered for now. By the way that is what scores of countries were being told when they were getting their independence from the same Britain. Independence is not as painful as the colonizers try to scare people.

lets face it... the real reason many people wanted to "leave" was because of immigration. that is the single largest reason. The english were walking around looking at an increasing number of people who didn't look like them and said... hmm... We should kick these fellows out!

So kina Infotrack na Synovate huko London had predicted a win for Remain. Then voter turnout changed everything Turnout in pro-leave areas was as high as 75% with remain areas having as low as 55

Quite against the widely held consensus of all those elites – in the media and politics, and experts of all kinds – who know everything about everything, the British people decided by a huge margin of 1.27 million votes to ‘Leave’ the EU in the just-concluded referendum, with a turnout of 72%, the highest in any elections since 1992. The first casualty was the media, which looked gutted like a fish, with all their certitudes upended. The financial markets had convinced themselves that ‘Remain’ had the edge, especially after the unfortunate murder of the MP Jo Cox the week before the referendum was due. After all, the political experts, the talking heads on TV, the polling outfits and the media, which are supposed to have their pulse on the public mood, were unanimous in saying that the momentum in favour of ‘Remain’ after the murder was remarkable and unstoppable. Unfortunately, it was not, and the reading of the public mood was terribly and tragically wrong. Financial markets are paying and will pay the price. But unlike what some Tory ministers of the ‘Remain’ faction are saying – “I told you so: Britain has made a terrible mistake, the sky is going to fall on all our heads” – the markets will settle down after some bloodletting and losses. That will of course, mean some people will lose their jobs but this is not 2008. There is no fundamental crisis. Will the UK or the EU go into recession, as some are speculating? Perhaps, but not because the British people – or more accurately the English and Welsh – voted to leave the EU. If there is a recession, it will more likely hit the EU than the UK, and for reasons that are endemic to the slow train-wreck the EU is beginning to resemble.

nothing like a good old english story to clear everything
Quote:
This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Online petition meant to make it harder to remain shackled to the EU hijacked by hard-of-understanding pro remain. Oh well. What else was expected of a dumbed down section of society? Brexit: Petition calling for second EU vote was created by Leave backer

I was amazed to hear that Brits wre busy googling what the EU is hours after the results were out. Still, the Brexit plebiscite results are NOT legally binding and any option can be considered, including a 2nd referundum or a further vpote in Parliament - meaning with all these options being floated there's no guarantee Brexit will actually take place.
