Parliament now has the duty to pass the necessary legislation to get the UK out of the EU. It would be politically suicidal for the lawmakers to avoid or delay this process as it has been expressed by a popular will of the people.

Not so fast

Quote:
More than 1.5 million people have signed a petition calling for a second EU referendum, after the vote to leave.
It has more signatures than any other on the parliamentary website and as it has passed 100,000, Parliament will consider it for a debate.

Scotland will need to exit the UK first because they are opting to remain in EU

brave new world... even some Brexiters are turning to Bregretters - this is uncharted territory and they are realising how intertwined they are.

one would think that these "guys" have it covered until you read stuff like this

Quote:

Brexit voters and pro-Remain members of the electorate who failed to turn out because they were confident of the win had been calling in.
Quote:

We had people phone up today wanting to change their vote or ask if they could still vote as they don’t want to leave

then you realise people are just people... voter education is for everyone.

Exactly sometimes you think because they form some NGO's to teach Africans, that their people have understood everything back home only to learn that most of them are lost too.

BREXIT is a done deal, the real question is which country will exit next. I predict that smaller countries/ economies will follow suit. BREXIT is a big crack in th EU and will give credence to exit of smaller economies. EU will have to break up and be constituted by fewer, stable and larger economies...jus my take.

Just shows that voters are dumb the world over. In old Britain not everyone had the right to vote. Only those who owned property aka landowners could vote and therefore they knew that their decision at the ballot would greatly affect them. This universal suffrage was a big mistake. Even in kenya we should change the rules and say only those who are worth at least 1m and have a university degree can vote.Otherwise how do you allow a poor jobless semi-literate kibera resident to determine the destiny of a middle-class lavingtoner at the ballot? That's total madness.
