I think Kenneth Marende would make a great judge. He is calm and sober and has experience as a lawyer, law maker and speaker that gives him a good understanding of how the whole system of government functions. He is also 60 years old. Just the right age to serve 10 years and retire.

CJ was wrong.

Viable candidate Hon Justice Aggrey Muchelule

Without CJ's intervention those old gazers would still be in SC. smile

They have room to appeal. The CJ was unprofessional giving them fodder to use against the court.

I agree with @Othelo in a vulgar language "Njoki ako na Kiherehere kama njot ya kwanza" she heard on a matter of urgency
but pushed it's ruling far away. She had colluded with them to make them stay. Mutinda was wise in disqualifying himself just to point to Njoki that he's the CJ. Despite mutunga having trusted and allowed judges freedom, Njoki turned it into a weakness akawa na madharau. She's playing populist.

The room for appeal is useless. They will NEVER sit on that bench again!!!

Who is that in red? Populist to who? I thought the popular decision was the judges have to retire?

Maka, it's not too late to submit your application

Quote:
The Judiciary is yet to receive applications for the post of the Chief Justice and two other vacant positions at the Supreme Court.

By Monday, Chief Registrar of Judiciary Anne Amadi said that they were yet to receive bids from prospective candidates.

“Not yet, we are waiting,” Amadi told the Star.

The deadline for the CJ's position is Friday, July 8, while that of the Deputy CJ and Supreme Court judge are due on Wednesday, July 6.

Nobody wants to be cj when babu is running for president. Even Mutunga had to leave early so as not to deal with that perennial loser.
