Unfortunately, he will be viewed from the tribal eyes and might just miss it, though he is very qualified.

@Washiku, why are you pre-empting peoples reactions. "tribal eyes" can still make rational decisionssmile smile case in point; the work of Njoroge the govna has been appreciated universally.
If anything its Rotich who wants to clip his powers

Kihara is qualified but he should not get it. I am sure he won't. President and Speaker of National Assembly come from Mt Kenya region. Smoking Wanjala and Lenaola have a better chance in my view.

so far the list in wazua consist of mostly politicians and or celebrity judges. some of the names being mentioned here (especially from the judiciary) are only being mentioned because they have handled 'high profile' cases and thus have become 'household' names - celebs.

there is for example a name that almost everyone will mention as the best judge ever to the extent that it has become conventional wisdom that they are the best thing since stockskenya became wazua. but if you were to ask most of those who have handled matters before them to give an honest opinon...wacha tu.

Given that she will abandon her political outfit to take up the CJ position, she'll still have one eye on politics. Other players will be rattled as well.
