According to estimates of the 2016/2017 by national treasury KENGEN is anticipated to make a net profit of ksh.7.438bn after corporate tax and finance cost.Profit before tax and finance cost at ksh.14.857bn
Dividend will fall in the range of ksh.0.30-0.40 per share.
So for the price to get to ksh.3 will be a hard nut even on a bear run.

elections will go sour we buy at 2bob

KENGEN & KQ trading sub 30 is a tragedy of market assymetry

2bob is inevitable as long as the bear is roaming in town. I am patient on this one. I want to strategize to load up to 2m shares then I relax to see my money multiply several times.

Post rights, expect institutional shareholders to acquire major stakes of 15-20%. This will enable Kengen to consolidate towards the true value of at least Sh 20. Any price below 6.50 is a dream going forward but if the dream materializes I will not hesitate to lower my ABP from the current 6.65.

Perhaps @Obiero meant that all shares will be collapsed into one share which will be sold at 30/- out of bankruptcy?

Keenly waiting for post rights KENGEN to get it extremely cheap.
It will happen anytime between July and November before FY16 results.

Many are waiting for Kengen to drop to KShs 3. I willing to bet that Kengen will not touch KShs 5.00 in the next 12 months

5/- is still lower than 6.55 and that's not even discounting for the time value of money.

Meanwhile Kengen today prints 6.55, lowest in recent time and of course the rights price.

What Hails gava firms. 3 bob and below club. Mumias, kq, Uchumi. KPLC despite all profits at 10.00. NBK one in same share price range with NIC now at 10. Eapc one at 100's now well below 50. Ken gen once 15 and above now 8 bob ( before right) It's sad and the writing is on the wall. I think this new regime is to blame for the most part. It might be easy to fool wanjiku but institutionals and big money will always know the truth

why wasn't this question asked when KQ traded at 126.. factoring the rights issue, KQ should not trade sub 24

HF 30,000 ABP 3.49; KQ 414,100 ABP 7.92; MTN 23,800 ABP 6.45
