"I am tired! Tired of tribal jingoists who think belonging to this or that tribe, a mere accident of history, is a mark of achievement. Tired of hollow-headed, bile-hearted, foul-mouthed apologies of men who litter and poison our public space. Tired of men with memories so short, skulls so thick they pay no notice and lack appreciation for our recent dalliance with death. I am tired of poor, hopeless, wretched pseudo-leaders unmindful of the awesome responsibility of public office, oblivious of the power of influence, unable and unwilling to embrace and uphold virtue and principle. I'm tired of small men holding big offices yet clueless to the call of duty, spineless and lily-livered, terrified to crack the whip and call miscreants to account. I am tired of this lunatic cycle of violence and chaos besmirching our political processes, mocking our democracy, reveling in lawlessness. I am tired of vision-less leaders, citizens without conscience, men of no conviction. I am tired of lazy lying loonies who somehow con their way to office and plunder the land. I am tired of old ways accepted that negate all hopes of new beginnings. I am tired of this constant outrage every time I see and read the news. Tired of being ashamed that these shameless shameful men with flaming eyes and incendiary tongues still walk in freedom, sowing seeds of hatred and scorn, preening and crowing with impunity, as if the Law lies dead. I am tired, oh so tired, of being this tired.".....Patrick Kiage JA
