This is the heard of elephants in the room that CORD have consistently refused to acknowledge:
1.
Kenyans are not in love with Jubilee - they are simply too scared of the alternative (Caroline Mutoko was right)
2.
Kenyans have moved on from the politics of confrontation. They are into the politics of the stomach now. Baba is taking us where we came from.
3.
If CORD wants to take power they have to ditch the captain. Raila is not electable as President. He is simply too divisive and scares most people. His most potent value is in the role of kingmaker
4.
It is probably too late for CORD in 2017 - but it is not too late to start building an alternative credible government in waiting. CORD has wasted 4 years on incoherent, disjointed and reactive opposition to Jubilee. I hope they don't waste anymore
5.
There is nothing preordained about the Uhuruto narrative that they will rule for 20 years. They can be beaten and most likely will, but not by the incompetent opposition we have now. Yet CORD seems to have bought into this Jubilee lie of invincibility. How else do you explain recent events?
