ION, Cord calls of Monday protests, but 'issues ultimatum to jubilee'..'we will be back on Thur if you do not agree to our demands'...and really you're left wondering, why should somebody issue a threat to hold a demonstration, which is meant to be peaceful anyway? Why should they think that Jubilee will be uncomfortable with whatever demonstration? Isn't it because they rejoice when goons take over and create the discomfort? What is hypocrisy? why does society let people full of hypocrisy get away with it?

For example 'passive resistance'. Otherwise the constitution wouldn't even mention the right to peaceful protests. I think this issue should spur us to try thinking not just outside the box, but to exercise love and consideration for others.

I think this issue should spur us to try thinking not just outside the box, but to exercise love and consideration for others. Peaceful picketing is a right, why should someone issue threats to do that which is a right, unless they have ulterior motives? I've got an issue when someone abuses constitution to demonstrate over a non issue, or an issue that can be sorted in another way, then pays goons to cause mayhem. But constitution allows someone to demonstrate virtually over anything. If people don't want to be reasonable they will demonstrate over such things as lack of rain and nothing you can do about it, and that's why we're saying someone is abusing the constitution. To conclude, if someone wants to demonstrate daily over say lack of rain,he should be able to do so since constitution gives him the right, even thou anyone of average intelligence knows he wont achieve anything. But poverty will soon come calling due to failure to engage in meaningful economic activity and he may wake up.

The best thing Uhuru has done is to allow the demos to happen, The police have also matured by asking cord t provide time the demos will start and enbd, the streets to be used and the final destination in order for police to be able to provide security. I think, the above is what made cord to call of the demos If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

I think, the above is what made cord to call of the demos Yes let them provide routes and plans for police to provide security. And they shouldn't threaten to hold demos since this is a right. Just go ahead and demonstrate everyday.
