Very sad. A real pest.

Quote:
Ng'ang'a and Bitok both told the court that Careen told them in the meeting that she borrowed money to pay Otieno's rent and his children's school fees. They said she told them he once got angry when she reported that she had not raised enough money for his son's admission to form one.

What did he get exactly, I thought it is the lady friend who died and the purpose of the inquest is to establish the cause of death

I understand that he is now living with his mother who is caring for him since he is sick and broke. Does this mean his wife Susan kicked him out?

I also wonder what the deal here is!!

Isnt it settled that when she met her death he was away in Magadi!

Even assuming they were in a relationship - so what they are adults.

If one paid some bills for the other - well lovers do that all the time! May be socially people may raise eyebrows here, that a man is being kept by a woman, but that's not stuff for the courts!

If indeed he bribed guards to gain access to the girl's apartment how sure are we the cops were not bribed to confirm his alibi? What if he went to Magadi, left his phone there, did the deed then went back to Magadi....

Any lawyer around will tell you all that is hearsay which is inadmissible as evidence in a court of law. That said in criminal law there is a saying which goes"Its better to have murderes walking free on the streets having been acquitted for lack of enough evidence to sustain a conviction than have an innocent soul behind bars.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Something is not right about this case. Poor careen might never get justice. Just watched the case files and I still can't make head or tail but I found this disturbing.

Careen's brother was the last person to see her alive when he dropped her at her house on a sunday.

On Monday she doesn't go to work. By Tuesday she still doesn't go to work and isn't picking her calls. Her mom asks the brother to join her as they go to check her at her house.

From here nothing adds up. The mom stays in the car outside her apartment and asks the son to go check. Son finds house unlocked, walks upto her bedroom door, notices the sister is "sleeping", turns back and tells the mom his sister is okay.

They walk back to the apartment together, and hear this, brother relaxes in the sitting room as mom walks to the bedroom. Soon after she screams that her daughter is dead.

Am not judging, but....but....

My 2cents

The father had an "issue" with this gal, being she was not his biological daughter. (love hate relationship)

If the father is to be believed, she stole from him to sustain her lifestyle.

If louis is to be believed, the father raped her - and that could be the reason why they were not in a good relationship . Careen apparently told louis that.

The mother knew of this and its very possible the husband had said something the previous night or behaved in a certain way. And that's why she opted to go confirm. Notice, she sends the son out first - probably in fear of confirming the truth, when he comes back with news that she is asleep, she gets out of the car and goes ahead to check...very suspect

There were two used wine glasses in the sink. How come the security guy at the gate has no records whatsoever on who visited (and killed) the lady? Also shouldn't the bro be a person of interest?

I think Louis is suffering from Meniere's disease which affects the inner ear leading to loss of hearing and balance problems. Sad. Hope the condition can be sorted. Wish him quick recovery.

NB: The disease can affect anyone and 20-50yr olds are at greatest risk.

Let's give this a break. From the 'evidence' provided online he did not kill Careen. The girl's family did not co-operate with investigators. Hapa hakuna majini unless more information is provided.
