Tyre manufacturing in Kenya is a dead business. Far east manufacturers enjoy economies of scale, cheap labour and new efficient technology. Sameer cannot compete. Sameer however has property assets which Meralli continues to strip at will. Re the Sameer Business Park and Sameer EPZ etc where the listed entity owns minority interest.
