The thing is if UK and RAO agree to remove the the commissioners, then they can Marshall their respective sycophants in parliament to legally remove the commissioners

Why would they need to "Agree". If Rao feels that IEBC is corrupt and full of malpractice why not gather the necessary information and present it to the parliamentary committee who in their wisdom and in the glare of the media will then submit proposals to the house and eventually to the president for adoption. The issue is why should everyone be used to rubber stamp Rao's "wants".
Like i pointed out earlier whatever is happening is a smoke screen and has nothing to do with IEBC.

However, as they spew hate Machakos based investors are sleeping easy. Machakos youth are assured of secure jobs tomorrow- not even a single stone was thrown in Machakos. Moses Wetangula is secretly talking to investors to relocate to Bungoma. Since 2008- Bungoma town has greatly harvested from the mega flight of Capital from Kisumu. In fact, just taking a stroll through Kisumu town at night will give you an indication that the once vibrant town is on a decline. Even the prostitutes that once filled places like Octopus, Fanana and Nasalica area have taken off. Many of them have followed the money to towns like Kakamega, Kisii, Bungoma and Eldoret.

Before Muthama and Wetangula speak out- at least let them have Kambas and Luhyias destroy property and investment in Machakos and Bungoma. Let them have their youth lie in poorly funded hospitals with gunshot wounds.

Otherwise, hii ita kuwa kuchezewa game mbaya!!!!!!

[quote=Swenani]These demands by cord do not seem to be genuine

This bluff is easy to call. Now , Uhuru needs to inform all parliamentarians / Senators that he intends to dissolve parliament/senate and call for snap elections. Give the Mpigs/Senators a reason to unite and see how soon they will abandon RAO.

You have to listen to your father even if he is senile, but you don't have to do what he has told you.

A time comes when you decide, hapana now am grown up. You don't refuse his instructions infront of him but you don't do what he wants.

Unfortunately, the constitution took that power too and set out the election to be on the 5th year.

Constitution of Kenya

Article 2. Supremacy of this Constitution

(1) This Constitution is the supreme law of the Republic and binds all persons and all State organs at both levels of government.

(2) No person may claim or exercise State authority except as authorised under this Constitution.

(3) The validity or legality of this Constitution is not subject to challenge by or before any court or other State organ.

(4) Any law, including customary law, that is inconsistent with this Constitution is void to the extent of the inconsistency, and any act or omission in contravention of this Constitution is invalid.

What the constitution says about elections: Election of members of Parliament.

101. (1) A general election of members of Parliament shall be held on the second Tuesday in August in every fifth year.

The chief Uhuru campaigner for now is Raila. His antics will just help to radicalize Uhuruto's key voting blocks against him. I actually think Uhunye would want the demos to continue for a few more weeks. That way he will just need one round across central and Ruto across Rift demonstrate to their voting blocks "How Rao is disturbing them just like he disturbed Mwai Kibaki" They will tell them that infact he is the reason they were not able to do most of the things they promised. Were it not for Rao's disturbance, economy would be at 10% growth rate...

Armed with that RailaPhobia, nyumba and the Rift will wake up at 3am to vote. They will vote so that Kimundu do not 'enter' and destroy 'their wealth'. With those two blocks in the basket, they will only need to go for some kujazilia sessions in the other regions and they will be in. Hii ni siasa.

For sure that is how it might end. How would the ones who have suffered this hooliganism explain this madness that is being experienced every Monday. Every businessman/woman cannot buy the reason that you want to disband a constitutional commission by wanton destruction of his/her property.

How can one elect a leader who is more or less supervising destruction of property?.

My view, an electoral commission should not have representative from parties this would a perfect ingredient for chaos. The commissioners should be professionally recruited with emphasis on those who do no profess political affiliations.
