It will be very interesting to see how jubilee does their nominations.

The owners of the party want Waweru, wsr wants sakaja then you have sonko and wanjiru both with amazing mobilization skills.

I also have some tusker bills I wouldn't mind being assisted to settle.

He is in govt, why can't he push for accountability so everyone benefits

Surely as the Senator of Nairobi Sonko could better serve his people. Those photo ops and handouts are PR gimmicks

Whats the role of a senator in the day to day service of their people, I think a governor has more functions when it comes to affecting the day to day livelihood of the people they serve, thats why I mentioned I would love to see what he can do given those powers.
otherwise a senator's role is to 'admire' the governor, make noise and do lots of pr gimmicks.

look at that upper house 'hansard' I don't know if they call it that in the upper house, then cross check the role of a senator, then while at that check what is and the role of a govt.
To be honest I tried checking out all that, but I got no where, that stuff is complex, if you have any luck please update. smile then of course look at what sonko has been doing

From the Constitution: Link

Quote:
96.
Role of the Senate
(1)

The Senate represents the counties, and serves to protect the interests of the counties and their governments.

From this clause, the Senator has a duty to the county and wananchi. This dishing out of piecemeal goodies should have died out with the Nyayo era.
